The Geneva African DJ Contest is a platform designed to discover, recognise and elevate the next generation of African DJ talent.

01 / ELIGIBILITY

WHO CAN ENTER?

The Geneva African DJ Contest is open to DJs who:

  • Are 18 years or older.
  • Are of African nationality, African heritage or African descent.
  • Are able to perform in Geneva, Switzerland, during the competition season.
  • Submit a complete official application.
  • Provide a DJ profile and relevant social media or performance links.
  • Are available for the competition events for which they qualify.
  • Agree to the official Geneva ADC rules and conditions.

There is no registration fee to apply.

02 / THE CONTEST

A SEASON OF LIVE DJ BATTLES

The competition takes place throughout the season, with live events held approximately every two months at different nightlife venues in Geneva.

Each event gives selected DJs the opportunity to perform in front of a real audience, build their following, create new connections and earn their place in the season ranking.

This is not a studio competition.

It happens in the club.In front of the people.On the dancefloor.

03 / THE CROWD IS THE JURY

YOU DON’T JUST PLAY THE MUSIC. YOU WIN THE ROOM.

At Geneva ADC, the audience plays a central role in determining who moves forward.

The people who experience the performance are the ones who decide.

04 / HOW THE VOTE WORKS

THE CROWD DECIDES.

  1. Each competing DJ performs during the official competition event.
  2. The audience is given the opportunity to vote for the DJ who delivered the strongest performance.
  3. Each eligible attendee may cast one vote during the designated voting period.
  4. The votes are validated after the voting period, and the results determine the outcome of the event.
Integrity of the vote: Geneva ADC reserves the right to reject fraudulent, duplicated or otherwise invalid votes in order to protect the integrity of the competition.
05 / THE SEASON RANKING

ONE EVENT CAN CHANGE YOUR SEASON.

Every competition event contributes to the overall season.

DJs earn ranking points based on their results at each event.

The ranking creates a season-long journey in which DJs can build momentum, return stronger and compete for a place at the Grand Final.

EVENTS → RANKING → GRAND FINAL → CHAMPION

The final qualification and ranking structure will be published as part of the official season rules.

And one season can change your career.

06 / THE ROAD TO THE GRAND FINAL

THE STRONGEST DJS MOVE FORWARD.

The strongest DJs of the season will earn their place at the Geneva African DJ Contest Grand Final.

The Grand Final brings together the season’s leading competitors for the ultimate title:

10 / PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

PLAY FAIR. RESPECT THE ROOM.

By entering Geneva ADC, each DJ agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information during registration.
  • Attend required competition events.
  • Respect the participating venues, organisers, artists and audience.
  • Perform their own DJ set.
  • Respect the allocated performance time.
  • Follow the technical requirements communicated for each event.
  • Respect the official voting process.
  • Not manipulate or attempt to manipulate the voting system.
  • Accept the official validated results.
  • Respect the Geneva ADC code of conduct.
  • Authorise Geneva ADC to photograph, film and use content featuring their participation for competition-related communication and promotion.

Geneva ADC reserves the right to disqualify a participant in cases of serious misconduct, fraudulent activity, vote manipulation, false information or significant violation of the competition rules.
